Schema & Compliance

Open, typed schemas for DeviceStamp events. Map lifecycle data to DPP and ESPR attributes with standardized JSON-LD structures.

Overview

DeviceStamp uses open, JSON-LD typed schemas to represent verifiable lifecycle events. Every record—from grading and repair to data wiping and resale—is captured in a standardized format that maps directly to EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) and ESPR compliance requirements.

Our schema is designed to be:

  • Interoperable — Compatible with GS1 standards and vendor systems
  • Verifiable — Each event is anchored on-chain with cryptographic proof
  • Privacy-first — No personal data stored on-chain; only hashes and selectively disclosed fields
  • Extensible — Support for custom attributes while maintaining compliance

Key Features

Event Types: Manufacturing origin, repair history, grading & testing, data wiping, sales & marketplace transfers, recycling & end-of-life.

Data Structure: Immutable records with timestamps, actor wallets, event signatures, and artifact references (IPFS CIDs for photos, reports, certificates).

Compliance Ready: Fields map to DPP lifecycle phases and ESPR transparency requirements for 2027+ regulations.
